Dr. Marschhausen has his Bachelor of Arts in History/Political Science from Wittenberg University and his master’s degree from the University of Dayton. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Leadership from Capella University.
John is the Superintendent/CEO of the Hilliard City School District, Ohio’s 8th largest school district. Hilliard is a suburban community in Columbus, Ohio. The district serves approximately 17,000 students in 24 buildings include three comprehensive high schools and an Innovation Campus. Dr. Marschhausen is also a Visiting Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University in the College of Education and Human Ecology. As the Superintendent in Residence at Ohio State, John is a conduit between the K-12 Community and the College.
Governor Kasich appointed John to the Ohio Digital Learning Task Force by Governor DeWine, the Governor’s Executive Workforce Board has served on the Ohio Senate’s Testing and Accountability Committee and has testified many times before the Ohio General Assembly. He reports directly to the Board of Education and serves as the Board’s Chief Executive Officer. As superintendent, he supports administrators and principals in their everyday jobs so teachers can do what they need to do to prepare every student for tomorrow.
