I find that the harder I work the more luck I seem to have. – Thomas Jefferson
Yes, there are those who believe in luck. There are those who believe that being in the right place, at the right time is a matter of luck. I am not one of those people. I believe we have the opportunity to create great things in our own lives – and not leave our future to chance.
First of all, I believe that there are angels in our lives who guide and support us. Our colleagues, friends, and family all influence what happens to us. We must be willing to listen to our angels and heed the guidance provided to us. We don’t wait for others to tell us . . . we listen to the messages from and voices of those we trust.
Secondly, I believe we create our own success by being intentional in our actions, by living our purpose, and by being true to our core. We create luck through hard work, through discipline-driven actions, and the choices we make.
Don’t wait for great things to happen – make great things happen. Don’t wait for messages to be delivered – listen to your better angels and take advice. Life is a team sport . . . surround yourself with people who make you a better person.
