In the end, an organization is nothing more than the collective capacity of its people to create value. – Lou Gerstner
Any organization is built on the collective capacity of its people. It’s never about a single person . . . It’s never about a single leader. The value of our organization is a collective effort; it’s everyone in alignment, working together.
There are times when we will have disagreements; there are times we will need to come together. In the end, our ability to align collectively in support of our values and vision will determine our success. This is what we model for our students . . . this is what we model for our community. We have the opportunity, as educators and leaders, to be that shining light on the hill. We can be the organization that gets in right.
We don’t have the answers, but we can model through our behavior, what will create the answers. It’s a noisy world filled with pessimism, narcissism, and negativism. Let’s rise above the noise and model what our students will need to master to create a brighter future.
